SDAU Project Lab Assistant Recruitment 2026: Overview
Sardarkrushinagar Dantiwada Agricultural University (SDAU) is hiring a Project Assistant/Lab Assistant for its Bio Science Research Centre at Sardarkrushinagar in Gujarat. This contractual engagement belongs to a sesame germplasm project funded by the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science and Technology.
The project uses genomics-assisted core development and trait discovery to support sesame productivity and sustainability. You would work at the Bio Science Research Centre, within this project-based research setting.
Service Conditions and Caveats
- Tenure: The engagement lasts for 11 months from appointment or until the project finishes, whichever comes first. It ends automatically at that point without a further notice.
- Temporary engagement: This is an ad hoc project appointment. The university has no obligation to offer you another job after the assignment ends.
- No regularisation claim: Being selected for the project does not give you a right to a regular university appointment.
- Performance and conduct: Unsatisfactory work or misconduct can lead to termination without prior notice, including before the agreed engagement period ends.
- Workplace: Your work location is the Bio Science Research Centre at SDAU, Sardarkrushinagar. The centre's head and university authority may assign work alongside the project work.
- Travel: You must attend the walk-in at your own expense. Plan your journey around the reporting requirement.
- Fair recruitment: Any attempt to influence the recruitment decision will disqualify you.

Eligibility Criteria
Minimum Qualification
BSc in Agriculture or another Life Sciences discipline.
Preferred Qualification
MSc in Plant Physiology or Biotechnology; experience with instruments, data entry and fieldwork is desirable.

Computer knowledge is mandatory. Instrument handling, data entry and fieldwork experience are desirable.
