The District Ayurvedic and Unani Officer, Sangrur has issued a notice for 1 male part-time Yoga Instructor at an Ayushman Arogya Kendra in District Sangrur. The role is for conducting Yoga and IEC sessions in the morning as per District AYUSH Society guidelines. This is a local part-time engagement with honorarium based on completed sessions, and it does not create a claim for regular government appointment.

Who Can Apply?

• Medical fitness: You need a fitness certificate from the concerned Civil Surgeon.
• Local preference: Candidates from the same village where the AYUSH HWC is located will get preference.
• Punjabi requirement: Punjabi up to Matric level is important because the work is local and community-facing.
• Yoga experience: If you rely on Yoga experience instead of a formal Yoga qualification, the notice asks for a minimum 5 years experience certificate from a Yoga institute.

Age Limit

• You should be between 20 and 45 years old.
• Age will be counted as on 1 January 2026.

Session Targets

Selection Process (Merit + Interview)

Selection will be based on qualification marks, Yoga qualification, experience, age score and interview:

1. 10+2 Marks: Marks in 10+2 are calculated on a pro-rata basis out of 10 marks.
2. Yoga Qualification: Certificate gets 10 marks, Diploma gets 15 marks, and Degree gets 20 marks.
3. Yoga Experience: 1 mark for each completed year of Yoga experience, up to 5 marks. Part-year experience does not get marks.
4. Age Score: Age group 26-35 gets the highest age score of 5 marks.
5. Interview: The interview carries 5 marks.
6. Document Verification: Documents are checked by the committee before final engagement.
