SAI Assistant Recruitment 2026: Overview

Sports Authority of India (SAI), an autonomous body under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, is filling regular Assistant posts. There is no fresh exam — SAI is picking candidates straight from the SSC Combined Graduate Level (CGL) Examination 2025 public disclosure of scores. Only candidates already named in the provisional shortlist (Annexure-I) attached to the notification can apply, so check that list for your name, roll number and email ID before anything else. If you took CGL 2025 and are on that list, your existing score is your ticket to a central government office job with India's national sports body.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Shortlist only: SAI invites applications from people on the SSC CGL 2025 Public Disclosure List in a fixed ratio for each category against the vacancies. If your name is not in Annexure-I, you cannot apply.
• Category is locked: The category you chose in your SSC CGL 2025 application form is treated as final; you cannot change it here.
• PwBD posts: The posts reserved for persons with benchmark disabilities are filled horizontally, spread across blindness and low vision, deaf and hard of hearing, locomotor disability (including cerebral palsy, leprosy cured, dwarfism, acid attack victims and muscular dystrophy), and autism, intellectual disability, specific learning disability, mental illness or multiple disabilities.
• Applying is not selection: Being invited to fill the form does not mean SAI has accepted your candidature. Offer letters go out by merit, only up to the number of vacancies, and only if you meet the eligibility conditions.
• Reservation rules: Existing Government of India reservation rules and DoPT office memoranda apply.
• Language: The notice is bilingual; if the Hindi and English versions ever differ, the English version is final.

Application Submission Notes

You must log in to the SAI jobs portal with the same email ID you gave in SSC CGL 2025 — the one printed against your name in Annexure-I. Access is locked to that email.

If that email has changed or no longer works, write to hrd2.sai@gov.in and itdivisionhq-sai@gov.in with the subject line "Updation of Email ID for the post of Assistant Application 2025".
