Who Can Apply?

Eligibility criteria vary slightly by department, so check the category that matches your post. Your Basic Academic Score and API Score will be worked out as per UGC Regulations 2018, using evidence like your published papers, project sanction letters, and completion certificates.

For Arts, Commerce, Humanities, Education, Law, Social Sciences, Sciences, Languages, Library Science, Physical Education, and Journalism & Mass Communication:

• Qualification: A good academic record with a Ph.D. Degree in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline
• Master's Degree: At least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale)
• Experience: A minimum of 8 years of teaching/research experience equivalent to Assistant Professor in a University, College, or Accredited Research Institution/industry, with at least 7 publications in peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals and a total research score of 75

For Shri Rishabh Dev Jain Shodh Peeth:

• Qualification: Master's Degree in History OR Ancient History and Archaeology, Culture. Other conditions are the same as the Arts & Science eligibility above

For Business Management & Entrepreneurship:

• Qualification: Ph.D. in the relevant field with First Class (or equivalent) at Bachelor's or Master's level
• Publications: At least 6 research publications in SCI journals or the UGC/AICTE approved list
• Experience: A minimum of 8 years in teaching/research/industry, including at least 2 years post-Ph.D.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

Your selection will happen in two phases:

1. Screening (Basic Academic Score and API Score): Your Basic Academic Score and API Score are calculated as per UGC Regulations 2018 (Appendix II, Table 2). This carries 80 marks, and a Consolidated Merit List — with a cut-off of not less than 50% of the total score — decides who gets shortlisted for interview.
2. Interview: Worth 20 marks, conducted by a duly constituted Selection Committee.

You get at least seven days after your cumulative score is published to raise objections before the interview stage.

If you are selected, your appointment will be provisional until your category certificate (SC/OBC/EWS) is verified through the proper channel. If any document or claim you submit is found false or incorrect, your candidature will be summarily rejected — and your appointment can be cancelled even after you have joined.
