Punjab Haryana HC Frash Recruitment 2026: Overview
High Court of Punjab and Haryana at Chandigarh is recruiting Frash staff for its Chandigarh establishment under Employment Notice No. 05/Frash/HC/2026. The role supports the everyday upkeep and orderly functioning of the court premises. This is a regular court-establishment recruitment, with service conditions tied to the rules adopted by the High Court for its employees.
A Frash works behind the scenes to help courtrooms, chambers and common areas remain ready for use. The job suits candidates who are comfortable with hands-on support work, disciplined conduct and changing duty needs. Language knowledge matters because you may receive routine instructions and coordinate with staff and visitors in Hindi and the regional language.
Service Conditions and Caveats
- Vacancy position: The advertised requirement may rise or fall by the time the merit list is prepared, and the High Court will decide how many candidates are finally recommended.
- Pay rules: Pay and allowances will be governed by the latest Punjab Government rules and instructions adopted by the High Court.
- Working hours: Duty may continue beyond normal office hours and can include odd hours when court work needs support.
- Local reservation: SC, ST and BC reservation and fee concessions apply only when the certificate is issued by Punjab, Haryana or U.T. Chandigarh and the candidate is also a domicile or permanent resident of the relevant region.
- Outside-region candidates: SC, ST and BC candidates from other states or areas will be considered under the General category for this recruitment.
- Ex-Servicemen benefit: The reservation is for Ex-Servicemen themselves, not their dependants. A separate fee exemption applies to eligible dependants of personnel disabled or deceased during active operations when supporting proof is uploaded.
- BC declaration: BC candidates must meet the applicable non-creamy-layer conditions and produce the latest certificate with the prescribed declaration when called.
- Endurance stage: You must clear every event in the qualifying physical test; failing one event ends further participation in that test.
