OUAT Guest Faculty Recruitment 2026: Overview
Odisha University of Agriculture and Technology (OUAT) is engaging a Guest Faculty member in Forest Biology and Tree Improvement at its College of Forestry in Bhubaneswar. This is a temporary teaching engagement for the academic session, with a walk-in at the college. Service Conditions and Caveats
- Academic session: The engagement is for the 2026-27 academic year. OUAT may end it before the academic year finishes, so the stated session does not guarantee that the assignment will continue throughout that period.
- No regular appointment claim: Working as guest faculty does not give you a right to a regular appointment at OUAT. Consider this condition when deciding whether the temporary arrangement fits your plans.
- Leaving the assignment: If you choose to leave, you must give one month’s notice. You will be relieved only after your resignation is accepted.
- Panel validity: The empanelment remains valid for one year. This is the period for which the panel is valid, while the engagement itself remains subject to the academic-year and early-termination conditions.
- Changes to the drive: The college may change the number of positions according to need and approval from the competent authority. It may also cancel the interview process without giving a reason.
- Travel costs: OUAT will not pay travel or dearness allowance for attending the walk-in. You will need to make your own travel arrangements.
- Schedule updates: If the walk-in cannot take place as planned, OUAT will announce a replacement date on its website on the afternoon of the previous working day. Check the university website for updates before travelling.

The walk-in venue is the Conference Room, College of Forestry, OUAT, Bhubaneswar. You must report at the venue no later than 10:00 a.m. on the scheduled interview day.
Eligibility Criteria
Minimum Qualification
Master’s degree in Forest Biology and Tree Improvement from a recognised university, with at least 55% marks or equivalent CGPA 5.5 on a 10-point scale and a good academic record.
Preferred Qualification
NET, MPhil or PhD in the relevant subject. Publications in peer-reviewed journals receive due weightage.
Age Limit
Up to 64 years (as on 05 Oct 2026)

You will be paid Rs. 1,200 per class, subject to a monthly ceiling of Rs. 60,000, as applicable. The ceiling is not a guaranteed fixed monthly salary.
You must provide Rs. 500 by Demand Draft or Banker’s Cheque in favour of Comptroller, OUAT, Bhubaneswar before attending the interview.
