Odisha Power Transmission Corporation Limited (OPTCL) has issued Advertisement No. MPPR-03/2026-27 dated 17 June 2026 for consultant engagement in its upcoming 765 kV transmission system work. Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: You need B.Tech, B.E. or B.Sc. Engineering in Electrical Engineering from a recognised institution or university.
• Nationality: You must be an Indian national.
• Experience: You need at least 20 years of professional experience in design, engineering, execution or project management of 400 kV/220 kV transmission lines and substations.
• 765 kV exposure: You also need at least 5 years of specific experience in 765 kV transmission line or sub-station projects.
• Project record: You should have worked on design and execution of at least two 765 kV transmission line or sub-station projects.
• Leadership: The notice asks for proven experience in leading and managing engineering teams.

Age Limit

• Maximum age is 63 years as on 01 June 2026.
• Date of birth will be checked from the High School Certificate or equivalent certificate.
• Officers with pending departmental proceedings, criminal cases, or recent penalties for misconduct will not be considered.

Salary

• Monthly consolidated salary: Rs. 3,50,000 to Rs. 5,00,000, based on experience and qualification.
• The consultant will get TA/DA for approved tours as admissible to Senior General Manager rank under OPTCL norms.
• Other support includes CUG SIM, hired vehicle for official use, group health insurance coverage, and suitable accommodation subject to availability.
• No Dearness Allowance or other special pay is available over the consolidated monthly salary.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

OPTCL will select candidates through a personal interview conducted by a selection committee.

1. Application Scrutiny: OPTCL checks age, qualification, experience, documents and eligibility conditions.
2. Personal Interview: Shortlisted candidates appear before the selection committee.
3. Document Verification: Original certificates and experience proof may be verified during the selection process.
4. Final Engagement: Engagement is initially for 2 years and may be extended based on performance and OPTCL requirement.
