Who Can Apply?

For Assistant Professor (Regular Remuneration - Rs. 90,000/month):

• You need a Master's degree with at least 60% marks (or equivalent grade) in the relevant/allied subject.
• You need a Ph.D. in a concerned/relevant/allied subject from a recognized Indian university or an accredited foreign university.
• You need at least 2 publications in UGC-CARE listed journals.

For Assistant Professor (Lower Remuneration - Rs. 75,000/month):

• You need a Master's degree with at least 55% marks (or equivalent) in the relevant discipline.
• You need to have qualified NET in the relevant subject (or SLET/SET where NET is not conducted).

• You should have a good academic record throughout your education.
• If suitable Ph.D. candidates are not found, NFSU may appoint qualified NET candidates at the lower remuneration.

Age Limit

• Maximum age for general category candidates is 50 years.
• Age Relaxation: Reserved category candidates get a relaxation of 5 years.

Salary

• Assistant Professor (Ph.D. holders): Rs. 90,000 per month consolidated remuneration.
• Assistant Professor (Master's + NET): Rs. 75,000 per month consolidated remuneration.
• This is a fixed consolidated pay for the 11-month contractual period — no separate allowances are mentioned in the notification.
