NFSU CFDS Multi Post Recruitment 2026: Overview

National Forensic Sciences University (NFSU), an institution under the Ministry of Home Affairs, is building a project team for its CFDS technology programmes. The work covers drone systems, anti-drone technology, simulation and command-and-control initiatives, with Gandhinagar as the recruitment base. These are contractual project roles, and your assignment may also take you to locations nominated by CFDS.

Posts and Disciplines

• Project Manager: project delivery and coordination across engineering teams, customers and suppliers.
• GIS Developer: geographic information system applications, spatial data and mapping for defence programmes.
• Full Stack Developer: web applications and the services, databases and interfaces behind them.
• CAD Engineer: computer-aided design for components, assemblies and mechanical layouts.
• Embedded Engineer: hardware and firmware for real-time systems, robotics and autonomous platforms.
• Cyber Security Engineer: security for command-and-control systems and their connected software and infrastructure.

Post-wise Duties

Project Manager

You will connect project planning with delivery, keeping teams aligned on scope, milestones, risks and technical requirements. The role also involves customer coordination, vendor follow-up, field trials, acceptance activities and progress reporting.

GIS Developer

You will turn spatial data into interactive maps and geospatial applications. Your work includes terrain and elevation features, live tracking and map-service integration for surveillance and mission-planning systems.

Full Stack Developer

You will build both the user-facing screens and backend services of project applications. Database design, external-system integration, testing and deployment support are part of the work, including applications linked to mapping and situational awareness.

CAD Engineer

You will prepare engineering drawings and digital models for product development. The role includes manufacturing details, design revisions and fit checks, while working with fabrication and production teams to make designs usable in practice.

Embedded Engineer

You will connect firmware, controllers and physical devices such as sensors and communication modules. The work includes testing and debugging embedded systems used in unmanned vehicles, navigation and other real-time applications.

Cyber Security Engineer

You will help protect applications, networks, servers and endpoints. Your work includes access controls, threat reviews, vulnerability testing, security monitoring and the records needed for project audits.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Initial tenure: the engagement starts for one year. Extension depends on project needs and your performance.
• Project basis: these posts are temporary engagements linked to the project. The notice does not describe them as regular university appointments.
• Work locations: Gandhinagar is the base, with additional locations nominated by CFDS according to project needs.
• Travel: you may need to travel within India or overseas for project activities.
• Interview expenses: the university will not provide travel or daily allowance for attending the interview.
• Recruitment changes: NFSU may change, cancel or withdraw the recruitment at any stage without giving a reason.
