Deputy Assistant Director (Outdoor)

  • Service route: Officers holding an analogous post, or officers with 5 years service in Pay Band-2 with Grade Pay Rs. 4,200 or equivalent.
  • Experience: You need 3 years experience in teaching outdoor subjects such as physical training, firing, horse riding or organising training schedules.
  • Training: You should have completed at least 6 months of relevant in-service training in areas like PT, drill, weapons, tactics, map reading, counter insurgency, jungle warfare, commando course or similar police training.

Inspector Posts

  • Inspector (Training): Central/State/UT officers holding analogous post with Grade Pay Rs. 4,200, or Sub-Inspectors of CAPFs/State Police/UTs with 5 years regular service in Grade Pay Rs. 2,800 and outdoor teaching experience.
  • Inspector (Riding): Officers holding analogous post, or Sub-Inspectors with 5 years regular service in the specified old pay scale, with stable management and horse riding knowledge.
  • Inspector (Training of Trainers): Officers with analogous post and Grade Pay Rs. 4,200, or Sub-Inspectors with 5 years regular service in Grade Pay Rs. 2,800 and outdoor teaching experience.

Sub-Inspector and Head Constable Posts

  • Sub-Inspector (Band): Officers holding analogous post, Assistant Sub-Inspector (Band) with 3 years service, or Head Constable (Band) with 5 years service.
  • Sub-Inspector (Radio Mechanic): Officers holding analogous post, ASI (Wireless) with 3 years service, Head Constable (Wireless/Radio Mechanic) with 5 years service, or Head Constable (GD) with 8 years service and Radio Mechanic diploma.
  • Head Constable (GD): Officers holding analogous post, or Constable (GD) with 5 years regular service.
  • Head Constable (Motor Transport Mechanic): Officers holding analogous post with Grade Pay Rs. 1,900, or Constable (Motor Transport Mechanic) with 5 years service in Grade Pay Rs. 1,800 and basic vehicle mechanism knowledge.

Age Limit

  • Maximum age: Not more than 56 years for appointment by deputation.

Salary

  • Level 7: Rs. 44,900 to 1,42,400 per month for Deputy Assistant Director (Outdoor).
  • Level 6: Rs. 35,400 to 1,12,400 per month for Inspector posts.
  • Level 5: Rs. 29,200 to 92,300 per month for Sub-Inspector posts.
  • Level 2: Rs. 19,900 to 63,200 per month for Head Constable posts.
  • Allowances: Uniform personnel can get 24% Training Allowance, 10% Special Duty Allowance, SCRLA and other admissible allowances as per rules.
