The Electronics and Communication Engineering Department at MNNIT Allahabad, Prayagraj, has released Advertisement No. 383/ECED/F-66 dated 14 July 2026 for 1 Junior Research Fellow (JRF) post on a contract basis. The position is funded by the Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF) under a research project titled "Dynamic Network Slicing for Semantic-Aware 6G Edge Computing and IoT Systems" (sanction letter ANRF/ECRG/2025/003076/ENS), led by Principal Investigator Dr. Sachin Kadam, Assistant Professor. As a JRF on this project, you will work on AI-native network architectures, semantic communications, edge intelligence, and resource orchestration. Your day-to-day research will involve theoretical analysis, algorithm development, MATLAB/Python simulations, and AI-driven optimization to build intelligent network slicing frameworks using Artificial Intelligence, Deep Learning, Graph Neural Networks (GNNs), and federated learning for efficient, QoS/QoE-aware service delivery in IoT systems. The project runs for 3 years, giving you a good runway to build research publications and specialize in a fast-growing area of telecom technology.

Your appointment will initially be for one year on contract, and can be extended year on year based on your performance evaluation until the project concludes. The Institute also reserves the right to relax the minimum qualification and experience criteria for otherwise exceptional candidates, and may consider outstanding candidates even without a formal application. Who Can Apply?

  • Qualification (Option 1): M.E./M.Tech in Electronics Engineering or an allied/relevant branch, with a valid GATE score.

Salary

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

The selection is based on the following steps:

  1. Shortlisting: Candidates are shortlisted based on merit and project requirements — meeting the minimum qualification alone does not guarantee an interview call. The Institute may also consider candidates of exceptional credentials without a formal application.
  2. Interview: Shortlisted candidates are informed by email about the interview date. You must bring an updated CV, publications (if any), and original mark sheets/certificates with attested photocopies.
