This is a Direct Recruitment Examination conducted by the Mizoram Public Service Commission under Advertisement No. 2 of 2026-2027 dated 22 April 2026. The selected candidates will work as Junior Accounts Officers in the Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs Department in Aizawl and other Mizoram offices, handling departmental accounts, audits, and government finance work.

Who Can Apply?

• Educational qualification: Bachelor's degree from a recognised university (any stream).
• Computer proficiency: As prescribed under the Mizoram Group A, B and C posts Service/Recruitment (Amendment) Rules, 2023.
• Mizo Language Proficiency: You must pass the qualifying Mizo Language test. If you studied Mizo subject in Class X (HSLC) or above within Mizoram, or opted for Mizo as MIL outside Mizoram, you are exempted from this paper.
• Documents: All eligibility documents must be dated not later than 5 June 2026 (the last date of application).

Age Limit

• Minimum age: 18 years as on 1 January 2026.
• Maximum age: 35 years as on 1 January 2026.
• Age relaxation: Up to 5 years for ST/SC candidates.
• Age proof: HSLC / HSSLC certificate clearly showing date of birth is accepted; otherwise, certificates from a competent authority.

Salary

• Pay Matrix Level: Level 7 (Group B Non-Gazetted) under Mizoram government rules.
• Allowances: Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance, and other admissible allowances as per Mizoram government rules.

Application Fee

• Fee payment is online through the Mizoram PSC portal. If paying via UPI, use only the mobile number registered during one-time registration.
• Persons with Disabilities (PwBD) are exempted from payment of application fees.
• Fees once paid are non-refundable under any circumstances.

Selection Process

1. Direct Recruitment Examination conducted by Mizoram PSC at all district headquarters (centres may be combined where candidates are few).
2. Mizo Language Proficiency qualifying paper for candidates not exempted under the rules.
3. Document verification for shortlisted candidates.
4. Final merit list based on the written examination as per Group B (NG) syllabus on the Commission's official website.
