MIL OFDR Tenure Based DBW Recruitment 2026

Ordnance Factory Dehu Road (OFDR), a unit of Munitions India Limited (MIL) under the Ministry of Defence, is hiring 14 Tenure Based DBW (Danger Building Worker) personnel at its Pune, Maharashtra factory. If you are an Ex-Apprentice of AOCP trade or its feeder trades from an Ordnance Factory or a Government-affiliated ITI, you can apply offline by post. Ordnance Factory Dehu Road, Pune, has released Advertisement No. 1914/96/AOCP(50)/Phase-II/HRM/2026 for 14 Tenure Based DBW posts under the AOCP (Ammunition and Ordnance Components Production) trade. The break-up of the 14 posts is OBC – 3, SC – 5, ST – 2, EWS – 4, with 5 posts horizontally reserved for Ex-Servicemen. This posting is only for Ex-Apprentices of AOCP trade or its feeder trades (IMCP, MMCP, LACP, PPO, Fitter General, Machinist, Turner, Sheet Metal Worker, Electrician, Electronic Mechanic, Boiler Attendant, Mechanic Industrial Electronics, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic). Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) are not eligible for this post, and the number of vacancies may increase or decrease based on OFDR's requirement. Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: Ex-apprentices of AOCP trade or its feeder trades (IMCP, MMCP, LACP, PPO, Fitter General, Machinist, Turner, Sheet Metal Worker, Electrician, Electronic Mechanic, Boiler Attendant, Mechanic Industrial Electronics, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic) from Ordnance Factories, OR from a Government/Private organization having affiliation from a Government ITI.
• Skill Level: Skilled.
• Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) are not eligible for this post.

Age Limit

• You should be between 18 and 40 years old as on the last date of receipt of application, i.e. 21 days from the date of publication of this advertisement in Employment News.
• Age Relaxation: SC/ST candidates get 5 years (only for posts reserved for SC/ST); OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) candidates get 3 years (only for posts reserved for OBC); Ex-Servicemen get period of military service plus 3 years.

Salary

• Selected candidates will get a Basic Pay of Rs. 19,900 per month plus Dearness Allowance (DA), under the Skilled category.
• Remuneration is paid at 1/30th of Basic Pay + DA per day for 8 hours of work, with proportionate deduction for unauthorised leave/absence.
• You will also get Central DA, House Rent Allowance (when company quarters are unavailable), Night Duty Allowance and Risk Allowance as applicable.
• An annual increment of 3% is admissible on the Basic Pay, subject to satisfactory performance.

Selection Process

The selection will be done in the following stages:

1. Merit Based on NCTVT (NAC) and Trade Test: Your marks in the NCTVT (now NCVT) National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) exam and the Trade Test/Practical Test are combined in the ratio of 80% (NCTVT) and 20% (Trade Test) to prepare the merit list. The cut-off for calling candidates to the Trade Test is decided by OFDR.
2. Document Verification: Candidates qualifying in order of merit are called for document verification, limited to the number of posts notified (discipline/category-wise). If candidates are rejected for missing documents or not meeting the age/qualification/experience criteria, additional candidates are called in order of merit.

In case of a tie, preference goes first to higher NAC marks, then to Ex-Trade Apprentices of Ordnance Factory Dehu Road, then to apprentices of other Ordnance Factories, and finally to the older candidate by date of birth.

Only shortlisted candidates will be informed through post and email for the Trade Test/Practical Test. OFDR will not be responsible for late or non-receipt of applications due to postal delay or any other reason. SC/ST candidates will get second class TA on production of tickets and caste certificate, provided their bank details form is submitted.
