Defence Institute of Advanced Technology (DIAT) is hiring project staff for its Department of Applied Physics at Girinagar, Pune. The team will work on a DRDO-sponsored photonics electronic warfare receiver project that brings together optical technology, microwave systems and digital signals. These are contractual project engagements under the institute’s defence research work.

Posts and Disciplines

• Senior Research Fellow (SRF): A research role within the applied physics team working on the photonics-based receiver system. The notice links the work to physics, electronics, optics and photonics.

Post-wise Duties

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Regular employment: Accepting a fellowship or assistant position does not give you a right to permanent absorption at DIAT.
• Research opportunity: Fellows are encouraged to seek Ph.D. registration at DIAT through the proper channels and under the institute’s rules. This is an opportunity to pursue separately, not automatic admission.
• Role substitution: DIAT may recruit a JRF against an SRF position if it does not find a suitable SRF candidate.
• Joining: If selected, you must be ready to join immediately after receiving the offer letter.
• Travel costs: DIAT will not pay travel or daily allowance for attending the interview, regardless of its format.
