Kerala Public Service Commission (Kerala PSC) is recruiting Forest Boat Drivers for the Forest and Wildlife Department through district-wise direct recruitment. The locations covered are Thrissur and Kozhikode, with a separate ranked list for each district. This notice is Part I of the recruitment arrangement, covering the direct-recruitment channel.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• District choice: You may apply to only one district under this notice. Choose carefully because the appointment and ranked list are tied to that district.
• Transfer restriction: You cannot move to another district until you complete five continuous years of service in the district of appointment. Even after that period, a transfer remains subject to the government rules cited in the notice.
• Ranked-list validity: Each district list remains active for at least one year and up to three years. A replacement list published after the first year ends the earlier list.
• Later vacancies: The commission can recommend appointments against vacancies reported in writing while the relevant district list remains active. Those later reports are handled through the same district list.
• Recruitment allocation: The department allocates 70% to direct recruitment and 30% to recruitment by transfer. This advertisement covers the direct-recruitment route.
• Training: After appointment, you must complete the prescribed course at a Forest Training School. Training lasts no more than three months, as directed by the Principal Chief Conservator of Forest.
• Training outcome: Failure to complete the prescribed training successfully leads to termination and discharge from service. This is a condition of continuing in the post after appointment.
• Test participation: The notice does not offer another physical-efficiency-test attempt to someone injured during that test. Check the commission's published schedule and instructions before attending.
• Application status: Your application remains provisional, and claims must stand up to the commission's checks. False claims can lead to disqualification or other action under its rules.
