IUST JRF Recruitment 2026: Overview

Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST) is engaging a Junior Research Fellow (JRF) at its Watson–Crick Centre for Molecular Medicine in Awantipora, Kashmir. The fellowship supports an AYUSH-sponsored research project studying Dawa-Ul-Kurkum, a Unani pharmacopoeial formulation, for its therapeutic and chemo-sensitising effects in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma. You will join a project-specific research engagement under Principal Investigator Dr. Muzafar A. Macha.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Project-linked appointment: Your engagement lasts only while the project continues. It ends automatically when the project is completed or terminated.
• Continuation: Funding availability and satisfactory performance govern the appointment. The notice gives no right or claim to a regular university job.
• Supervision: You will work under the Principal Investigator on activities connected to this research project. The appointment belongs to the named AYUSH study at the centre.
• University discretion: The university and Principal Investigator can shortlist applicants or leave the position unfilled without giving a reason.
• Attendance expenses: The university will not pay travel or daily allowances for attending the interview. You should account for these costs if called.
• Applicable rules: Other engagement conditions follow the university's rules and the applicable DBT guidelines cited in the notice.
