IOCL, one of India's Maharatna public sector undertakings, needs a doctor to attend to its Pipelines Division office at Eastern Region Pipelines (ERPL), Prayagraj, on a part-time retainership basis. You will need to visit the ERPL premises for 2 hours a day, on alternate days, 3 days a week, to act as the on-site Doctor-in-attendance for staff working at the pipeline installation. Doctors with MD (Medicine) or MS (General Surgery) qualification will be given preference over those with only an MBBS degree, though both are eligible to apply. This is a good opportunity for a practicing General Practitioner looking for a stable part-time retainership with a Maharatna PSU.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: MD (Medicine), MS (General Surgery), or MBBS.
• Experience: At least 5 years of experience working as a General Practitioner.
• Preference: Doctors holding MD (Medicine) or MS (General Surgery) will be preferred over MBBS-only candidates, and will also draw a higher retainer fee.
• Duty schedule: You must be able to visit the ERPL office in Prayagraj for 2 hours a day, on alternate days, 3 days a week.

Salary

• Doctors with MD (Medicine) / MS (General Surgery) qualification get Rs. 1,460 per hour, with a maximum monthly payment of Rs. 37,960 for 26 hours across not more than 13 days a month.
• Doctors with MBBS qualification get Rs. 1,130 per hour, with a maximum monthly payment of Rs. 29,380 under the same hours and days limit.
• You will also get a 5% annual increase on a cumulative basis for the next three years or until the next revision, whichever comes first.
• Payment is made strictly on an actual attendance basis — you are paid only for the hours and days you actually attend.

Selection Process

IOCL will review applications sent by eligible doctors and select a suitable candidate based on your qualification, years of experience, and the information provided in your application. There is no written exam for this retainership engagement — the emphasis is on your medical qualification and prior General Practitioner experience.
