Himachal Hill Porter Company Porter Recruitment 2026 — 600 Posts

136 (I) Infantry Brigade Group Porter Company, commonly known as the Himachal Hill Porter Company, has announced recruitment for 600 civilian labourers (Porters) at Rampur Bushar, District Kullu, Himachal Pradesh. These Porters work alongside the Indian Army in difficult terrain, carrying supplies and equipment across mountainous regions. No written exam is required — selection is through a physical recruitment rally. If you have experience in construction trades like masonry, carpentry, plumbing, or electrical work, you will get preference during selection.

Who Can Apply?

• Nationality: You must be a male Indian citizen.
• Education: You should have passed at least 8th class (10th pass candidates are also eligible).
• Medical Fitness: You must be medically and physically fit, with no contagious diseases.
• Identity Documents: You must have a Voter ID Card, Ration Card, or Aadhaar Card.
• Character: You should not have any criminal record. A police station certificate is required to prove this.
• Insurance: You must have an active Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Beema Yojna (PMJJBY) policy before joining.

Note: Only male candidates can apply for these Porter positions.

Age Limit

• You should be between 18 and 40 years old as on 10 April 2026.

Salary

• Basic Pay: Rs 18,000 per month
• Dearness Allowance (DA): Rs 13,320 per month
• Field Allowance + High Altitude Allowance (HAA): Rs 2,700 per month
• Total Monthly Pay: Rs 34,020 per month
• Free rations at the scale of combatant soldiers when serving in operational or field areas.
• Free medical treatment for injuries and ailments that happen while working, available at Military and Civil Hospitals.

Note: Wages may change based on revised DA and other allowances as per Government of India orders.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

There is no written examination. Selection is through a recruitment rally that includes:

1. Physical Fitness Test: You will be tested for physical fitness at the recruitment rally held from 10 to 16 April 2026 at Averipatti, Rampur Bushar, District Kullu, Himachal Pradesh.
2. Document Verification: Your original documents and attested photocopies will be checked at the rally venue.
3. Medical Examination: You must be medically fit with no contagious diseases.

Preference: Candidates with trade skills like Mason, Carpenter, Electrician, Welder, Plumber, Fitter, Artesian Construction, and Plant Equipment (JCB) Operator will be given preference.

3. Fill in your personal details — Aadhaar number, name, father's name, date of birth, address, and bank account details.
4. Select the trade you are applying for (Porter, Mate, Carpenter, Barber, Cook, Washermen, Tailor, Equipment Repairer, Safaiwala, JCB Operator, Mason, or Electrician).
5. Upload your passport-size photograph (colour, under 100 KB, JPEG or PNG format).
6. Upload your Aadhaar card image.
7. Upload your police verification certificate (optional at registration, but mandatory during the rally).
8. Submit the form and note down your registration number.
9. Print your admit card from the same website after 06 April 2026.

Documents Required at Rally

• Aadhaar Card: Original plus 3 attested photocopies.
• Bank Passbook: SBI or PNB only (Jan Dhan Bank Account is also accepted). Original plus 2 photocopies.
• Domicile Certificate and Revenue Stamp (Rs 10).
• Mobile Numbers: Your own and Next of Kin (NOK).
• Photographs: 6 single passport-size colour photos and 4 joint photos with NOK (colour).
• Character Certificate: Issued by a Gazetted Officer on or after 01 January 2026.
• Birth and Education Certificate: Original plus 3 attested photocopies of each.
• Police Verification Certificate: From your nearest police station, not earlier than 01 February 2026.
