IIT Mandi Junior Research Fellow Recruitment 2026 - 1 Post

Indian Institute of Technology Mandi (IIT Mandi) has released a notification for 1 Junior Research Fellow post under an ANRF (Anusandhan National Research Foundation) funded project titled "Static and Dynamic Graph Queries in the Classical and Quantum Bitprobe Model", led by Principal Investigator Dr. Mirza Galib Anwarul Husain Baig. This is a project-based research position with an initial appointment of 12 months, extendable up to the 36-month duration of the project based on your performance. If you are a fresh graduate or postgraduate in Computer Science or Mathematics looking to build a research career, this is a good opportunity to work on a funded research project at a premier technical institute.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: B.Tech / B.E. / M.Sc. / M.Tech (or equivalent) in Computer Science and Engineering or Mathematics with at least 60% aggregate marks or 6.0 CGPA
• Additional Requirement: You must have qualified in at least one of the following: CSIR-UGC NET (JRF/LS), GATE, or DBT
• Nationality: Only Indian nationals can apply
• SC/ST candidates may get relaxation in marks as per Government of India norms.

Salary

• You will get a consolidated salary of Rs. 37,000 per month plus HRA as applicable, as per prevailing Government of India rules.
• If you are a retired/superannuated government employee selected for this post, your salary will be fixed as per prevailing GoI rules.

Selection Process

The selection will be done as follows:

1. Shortlisting: IIT Mandi will screen CVs and may set a higher criteria than the minimum qualification to shortlist candidates.
2. Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be informed via the IIT Mandi website or individually, along with offline/online interview details.
