Indian Institute of Technology (BHU) Varanasi is recruiting Junior Research Fellows in its Department of Civil Engineering for a Ministry of Road Transport and Highways research project. Service Conditions and Caveats

• Project-linked appointment: This is a purely temporary research position and remains co-terminus with the sponsored project; it does not create a claim to a regular IIT BHU post.
• Project horizon: The sponsored study has an overall duration of three years, although the fellow's continuation will remain tied to the project and institute rules.
• Campus support: House rent allowance is paid under institute rules only when campus accommodation is not provided.
• Research environment: You should be comfortable working with a team, managing experimental work, recording results clearly and handling changing research conditions.
• Interview arrangement: The institute plans to hold the interaction in physical mode. An online interaction may be considered only as a special case, so you should not assume remote participation is automatic.
• Academic pathway: Joining the project does not itself grant PhD admission; any later move into the doctoral programme depends on separate suitability and institute requirements.
