IISER Tirupati JRF Chemistry Recruitment 2026: Overview

Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Tirupati (IISER Tirupati) is hiring a Junior Research Fellow/Project Associate-I for a funded research project led by Dr. Padmabati Mondal. The project studies photoswitchable drugs and their use in controlling G-protein coupled receptors through a multiscale approach. This is a project-based contract at Tirupati, supported by the Department of Science and Technology–Science and Engineering Research Board (DST-SERB).

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Initial tenure: The appointment runs for three months. An extension is possible after a review of your performance, but the notice does not promise one.
• Project-linked appointment: The engagement ends automatically when the research project ends. No separate notice or compensation is due on that account.
• No absorption claim: Working on this project does not give you a claim to a regular appointment at IISER Tirupati or with the funding agency.
• Governing terms: The funding agency's rules for this project apply to your appointment. Read these conditions alongside the institute's notice when considering an offer.
• Joining: You must be ready to join immediately after receiving an offer. This is relevant if you are currently working elsewhere or need to arrange a move to Tirupati.
• Travel costs: IISER Tirupati will not pay travel or daily allowances for attending the interview.
• Accuracy of information: You are responsible for the information you provide. If the institute later finds that you did not meet the notified requirements, it may cancel your candidature or end the appointment.
• Conduct and communication: Canvassing or using political or other influence disqualifies an applicant. The institute will not handle interim enquiries about the recruitment.
• Further study: If selected, you may apply separately to the institute's regular Ph.D. programme, provided you meet that programme's entry requirements. The project appointment itself does not grant admission.
