Indian Institute of Management Raipur (IIM Raipur), located at Atal Nagar (Naya Raipur), Chhattisgarh, has released a notification for 1 Research Associate / Project Associate / Consultancy Associate post under its Operations & Decision Science Department. The selected candidate will support the Project Coordinator and Principal Investigator on a consultancy engagement for the North-Eastern Railway (NER). As part of this role, you will handle data collection and field research (administering surveys, conducting field interviews, coordinating with field investigators and government officials), data analysis and visualisation (statistical analysis and preparing publication-quality charts and tables), and report writing and support (drafting research reports, policy briefs and presentations, and supporting stakeholder meetings). This role is ideal for fresh postgraduates in analytics or operations research who want hands-on experience in a government consultancy project.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: A master's degree such as MSc, M.Tech, or MBA in Data Science, Engineering, Statistics, Operations Research, Mathematics, Business Analytics, Operations Management, Financial Analytics, or an equivalent discipline from a recognized university.
• Desirable Skills: Proficiency in quantitative and qualitative data analysis using STATA, R, or Python. Experience in primary data collection, survey administration, and field research is preferred.
• Communication: Strong writing skills to prepare research reports, and excellent communication skills in English and Hindi.
• Travel: You should be willing to travel extensively within the North Eastern Railway (NER) division as part of the field research work.

Age Limit

• The maximum age limit is 40 years.
• Age Relaxation: Available as per Government of India norms for reserved categories.

Salary

• The selected candidate will get a consolidated salary of Rs. 35,000 to Rs. 45,000 per month.
• The exact salary within this range is negotiable based on your qualifications, experience, and skills.

Selection Process

IIM Raipur will select candidates in the following stages:

1. Written Test: Shortlisted candidates may be called for a written test.
2. Personal Interview: Followed by a personal interview of shortlisted candidates.
