IIM Bangalore Academic Associate (Information Systems) Recruitment 2026

Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIMB), a premier graduate school of management in Asia and an Institute of National Importance under the IIM Act of 2017, has opened applications for the post of Academic Associate in the Information Systems (IS) Area. This contract role is designed for candidates with strong academic credentials who plan to pursue a doctoral programme in the future. The appointment is initially for one year, extendable up to three years. Who Can Apply?

• Option 1: A four-year Bachelor's degree with distinction from a well-rated institution in Computer Science or Information Systems.
• Option 2: A Master's degree in Computer Science or Information Systems from a recognised university.
• Also eligible: Candidates with an MBA or Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) from reputed business schools may also be considered.
• Interest required: You should have a genuine interest in pursuing an academic career in Information Systems — covering topics such as digitalization, enterprise IS architecture, IS ethics, cybersecurity, blockchain, and AI.

Stipend

• Monthly stipend of Rs. 43,000 to Rs. 55,000 (all-inclusive).
• The exact amount depends on your experience and qualifications.
• This is an all-inclusive stipend — no separate allowances are paid.

Selection Process

There is no written exam. Selection is based on:

1. Application Screening: All submitted applications are reviewed. Only shortlisted candidates are contacted.
2. Interview: Shortlisted candidates are called for an interview with the Information Systems Area faculty.
3. Document Verification: Academic certificates and experience letters are verified for the selected candidate.
