IIIT Kalyani PA and Intern Recruitment 2026: Overview

Indian Institute of Information Technology Kalyani (IIIT Kalyani) is recruiting for Project Assistant (PA) and Intern engagements in its Computer Science and Engineering department in West Bengal. The research project focuses on designing code-based post-quantum cryptography algorithms and studying their security. It is supported by TCoE under the Department of Telecommunication, Ministry of Communication, Government of India.

Dr. Debasish Bera leads the project, with Dr. Bhaskar Biswas as co-principal investigator. The notice brings together a general graduate route and a technical route within the same project, so you should match your application to the appropriate profile.

Posts and Disciplines

• General graduate profile: The first group is labelled Project Assistant and is linked to the same CSE research project as the technical profile.
• Computing and mathematics profile: The second group is also labelled Project Assistant, with a separate technical qualification route. The heading and application instructions additionally refer to internships.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Appointment: These are temporary, contractual project engagements. The notice does not describe them as regular institute appointments.
• Renewal: Intern engagements are reviewed every three months and Project Assistant engagements every six months. Continuation depends on satisfactory performance.
• Post labels: Both groups carry the same PA label in the PDF. You can seek clarification from the project team about the PA/intern allocation before choosing your application format.
• Institute decision: Meeting the stated criteria does not guarantee an internship. IIIT Kalyani may leave a position unfilled if it finds no suitable applicant.
• Other conditions: TCoE, DoT and IIIT Kalyani guidelines govern the engagement. Selected applicants will receive an email.
