The Indian Council of Forestry Research and Education (ICFRE), Dehradun is hiring 2 Project Associates for its Environment Management Division consultancy projects. If you have a First Class Master's degree in Zoology, Botany, Wildlife Science, Forestry, Ecology or Environmental Science (or a PhD in these fields), you can attend the walk-in interview. ICFRE, an autonomous body under the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, has announced a walk-in interview to fill 2 contractual Project Associate posts under its Environment Management (EM) Division. One post is for a study on unauthorized forest land diversion in Bokaro district, Jharkhand, and the other is for a post-impoundment environmental study of the Vyasi Hydroelectric Project in Uttarakhand. Who Can Apply?

For Project Associate (Zoology/Wildlife Science):

• You need a First Class Master's degree with 3 years' experience in Zoology, Wildlife Science or Forestry with a wildlife specialization, OR a PhD in these fields.
• Experience in report writing, Wildlife Management Plan preparation, and knowledge of Computer, GIS and statistical tools is desirable.
• You should be willing to travel for field work to collect fauna/wildlife data.

For Project Associate (Botany/Ecology):

• You need a First Class Master's degree with 3 years' experience in Botany with a taxonomy specialization, Ecology or Environmental Science, OR a PhD in these fields.
• Experience in report writing, Biodiversity Management Plan preparation, and knowledge of Computer, GIS and statistical tools is desirable.
• You should be willing to travel for field work to collect floral/ecology data.

Age Limit

• You should be up to 35 years old as on 12 August 2026.
• Age Relaxation: Up to 5 years for SC/ST, Women and PH (persons with disability) candidates; up to 3 years for OBC candidates.

Salary

• Selected candidates get a stipend of Rs. 58,000 per month plus HRA for both posts.

Selection Process (Walk-in Interview)

There is no written exam. Selection is done through a walk-in interview.

2. Walk-in Interview: Appear in person (or online if you are from outside Dehradun) on 12 August 2026.
