Who Can Apply?

For Professor (Level 14 - Rs. 1,44,200/month):

• You need a Ph.D. with First Class (or equivalent) and an excellent academic record, along with a minimum of 10 research publications in peer-reviewed or UGC-CARE listed journals and a total research score of 120 as per UGC Regulations 2018.
• You also need 10 years of teaching or research experience as Assistant Professor/Associate Professor/Professor (or equivalent), with evidence of having guided doctoral candidates. Outstanding professionals from industry with a relevant Ph.D. and 10 years of experience can apply too.

For Associate Professor (Level 13A - Rs. 1,31,400/month) and Assistant Professor (Level 10 - Rs. 57,700/month):

• You need a Ph.D. or Master's degree with the UGC-prescribed qualifications applicable to your discipline and pay level, along with NET/SET or equivalent qualification where required.
• Assistant Professor and Associate Professor candidates must fill the Score Card Proforma, which is a compulsory part of the online application.

• Domicile: Candidates applying against reserved category posts must attach a valid Punjab Domicile Certificate or Punjab Residence Certificate.

Salary

• Professor: Rs. 1,44,200 per month (Academic Level 14, 7th CPC Pay Matrix)
• Associate Professor: Rs. 1,31,400 per month (Academic Level 13A, 7th CPC Pay Matrix)
• Assistant Professor: Rs. 57,700 per month (Academic Level 10, 7th CPC Pay Matrix)
• You will also get DA, HRA and other allowances as per Punjab Government and GNDU rules.

Note: Appointed candidates will be paid as per Punjab Government Notification No. 7/204/2012-4FP1/66 dated 15 January 2015 (Department of Finance, Finance Personnel-I Branch), as amended from time to time.

Selection Process

Your application will go through the following stages:

1. Document & Score Card Screening: The University's Selection Committee reviews your Academic/Research Score Proforma and supporting documents.
2. Interview/Committee Evaluation: Shortlisted candidates are called for evaluation as per the decision of the Syndicate of the University.

Note: Your research publications will be considered as per the University Syndicate's decision. No modification will be allowed to your Score Card or Academic/Research Score Proforma once submitted, so review all details carefully before sending your hard copy.
