Gujarat Metro Rail Corporation (GMRC) Limited is a 50:50 Special Purpose Vehicle of the Government of India and Government of Gujarat. The corporation is working on the Ahmedabad Metro and Surat Metro projects, including operations and maintenance. This notification dated 29 April 2026 is for experienced systems professionals who can handle telecom, automatic fare collection, traction, or rolling stock work in a modern metro rail setup.

Who Can Apply?

• Telecom/AFC applicants should have experience in design, specifications, planning, contracts, installation, testing, and commissioning of Telecom/AFC systems in railway, metro, LRT, suburban rail, or telecom service provider work.
• Traction applicants should have experience in planning, technical specifications, contracts, installation, testing, commissioning, and statutory approvals for electric traction or HV power systems.
• Rolling Stock applicants should have experience in planning, technical specifications, contracts, installation, testing, commissioning, and statutory approvals for rolling stock systems.
• Metro rail experience is preferred where the notification says candidates with modern urban metro rail experience will get preference.
• Gujarat work experience and Gujarati language are preferred if you have worked in Gujarat for at least 3 years and are conversant with Gujarati.

Age Limit

• JGM: 50 years for contract, 58 years for deputation, and 62 years for post-superannuation.
• DGM: 45 years for contract, 58 years for deputation, and 62 years for post-superannuation.
• Assistant Manager: 35 years.
• Age and experience date: counted as on 29 April 2026.
• GMRCL employees: age limit is not applicable, but relaxation is not available for officials re-employed after superannuation.

Salary

• JGM contract scale: Rs. 90,000-2,40,000 IDA, with approximate CTC of Rs. 2.7 lakh per month.
• DGM contract scale: Rs. 70,000-2,00,000 IDA, with approximate CTC of Rs. 2 lakh per month.
• Assistant Manager contract scale: Rs. 50,000-1,60,000 IDA, with approximate CTC of Rs. 1.3 lakh per month.
• Post-superannuation pay: Rs. 1,45,000 for JGM and Rs. 1,40,000 for DGM.
• Other benefits: allowances, perks, medical coverage, and group personal accident insurance as per GMRC policy.

Selection Process
