GMDW&SB Procurement Specialist Recruitment 2026 - 1 Post
Guwahati Metropolitan Drinking Water and Sewerage Board (GMDW&SB) has released a walk-in interview notice for one Contract Management & Procurement Specialist post in PIU-SEGWSP, Guwahati. The South East Guwahati Water Supply Project works on 24x7 water supply infrastructure for households in the south-east area of Guwahati. The contract is initially for 11 months and is intended to continue with the project period based on performance and project requirements.
This role is suited for senior procurement professionals who understand externally aided projects, e-procurement, GeM, CVC/FIDIC guidelines, tender documents, bid evaluation, contract administration, and funding agency reporting. Experience with procurement norms of agencies such as the World Bank, Asian Development Bank, or New Development Bank is desired. If you have worked in State Government, Central Government, semi-government bodies, or PSUs, this role closely matches that background.
The South East Guwahati Water Supply Project is an urban water supply project for the south-east area of Guwahati. The TOR says the first phase has completed three reservoirs and transmission pipelines with Asian Development Bank funding. Future work includes a barge mounted intake system, raw water raising mains, water treatment plant, water storage reservoirs, and distribution networks, with financing planned through the New Development Bank.
Because this post sits inside PIU-SEGWSP, the work is closely linked with externally aided project procurement. The selected specialist will prepare procurement plans, issue procurement documents, support bid evaluation, handle contract administration, monitor implementation progress, and maintain records for audit and funding agency review. This is best suited for someone who has already worked on government procurement, PSU procurement, or externally aided infrastructure projects.
