GGSGH Consultant Recruitment 2026: Overview

Guru Gobind Singh Government Hospital (GGSGH), run by the Government of NCT of Delhi at Raghubeer Nagar, wants to bring retired government officials back as Consultants. The hospital has vacant ministerial (office) posts and is filling the gap until regular staff arrive through the Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board (DSSSB) or the Health and Family Welfare Department.

This is not a regular government job. It is a purely contractual, temporary engagement meant for people who have already retired from office roles between Senior Assistant or Assistant Section Officer and Section Officer. If you spent your career on establishment files, accounts, drafting and record keeping, the hospital wants that experience back in its office.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Nature of engagement: Purely temporary and contractual.
• Tenure: The engagement runs for six months at first, or until regular appointees join through DSSSB or the Health and Family Welfare Department, whichever comes first.
• No claim to a regular post: Selected officials cannot claim regular appointment or an extension of the engagement.
• Pay rules: Payment follows the Finance Department, GNCTD orders for retired government servants engaged as consultants; the notice itself prints no figure.
• Age and other conditions: The upper age limit and the remaining conditions follow Delhi Government instructions issued from time to time; the notice does not state a number.
• Service record: You need a clean service record and a vigilance status report.
• Number of posts: The hospital may raise or cut the number of posts as its administrative needs change.
• Right to reject: The competent authority can accept or reject any application without giving a reason.

The form asks for your retirement details such as the PPO number, last pay drawn and basic pension, and whether any departmental, vigilance or criminal proceedings were pending when you retired.

Incomplete forms and forms that arrive after the closing date will not be considered. The hospital will put up a list of suitable candidates on its website the day after the closing date, and the interview takes place the day after that, so check the list promptly.
