Service Conditions and Caveats

• Contract duration: The initial engagement lasts one year, subject to the earlier arrival of a regular appointee and the notice's retirement condition. Faculty extensions depend on performance and hospital needs, with the advertised overall limit of three years.
• Flexible faculty placement: The board may temporarily upgrade a lower faculty post for a suitable higher-level applicant. In super-speciality departments, it may instead downgrade a post when a suitable applicant for the advertised level is unavailable.
