Who Can Apply?

Project Engineer and Technical Officer

• Qualification: You need B.E./B.Tech from a recognised Indian university or institution.
• Marks: You need at least 60% aggregate marks.
• Experience: Project Engineer needs 3 years after the degree. Technical Officer needs 1 year after the degree.

Assistant Project Engineer and Senior Artisan

• Assistant Project Engineer: You need a Diploma with at least 60% aggregate marks and 1 year experience.
• Senior Artisan: You need to be an ITI pass with 2 years relevant experience.
• Apprenticeship: Apprenticeship in the relevant field, up to 1 year, can be counted as experience.

Age Limit

• Project Engineer: Maximum age is 33 years for UR candidates.
• Technical Officer, Assistant Project Engineer and Senior Artisan: Maximum age is 30 years for UR candidates.
• Age Reference: Age and experience are counted as on the date of selection.
• OBC Relaxation: OBC candidates get 3 years relaxation as per rules.
• PwBD Relaxation: PwBD candidates with at least 40% disability get 10 additional years relaxation.
• Jammu and Kashmir Domicile: Candidates ordinarily domiciled in J&K from 01 January 1980 to 31 December 1989 get 5 years relaxation.

Salary

• Project Engineer: Rs. 40,000 in year 1, Rs. 45,000 in year 2, Rs. 50,000 in year 3 and Rs. 55,000 in year 4.
• Technical Officer: Rs. 25,000 in year 1, Rs. 28,000 in year 2 and Rs. 31,000 in years 3 and 4.
• Assistant Project Engineer: Rs. 26,208 per month, revised every 6 months as per CLC Central guidelines.
• Senior Artisan: Rs. 24,018 per month, revised every 6 months as per CLC Central guidelines.
• Other Benefits: Medical insurance premium reimbursement, Company PF, TA/DA on official duty and paid leave are available as per ECIL rules.
• Attire Allowance: Project Engineers get a one-time amount of Rs. 8,400 after completing at least 6 months.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

ECIL will select candidates through walk-in registration, document verification and personal interview. The final recommendation is based on a merit formula of 100 marks.

1. Walk-in Registration: Report at the correct zonal venue between 9:00 AM and 11:30 AM. Late reporting is not allowed.
2. Document Verification: ECIL will check your age, qualification, marks, experience, identity and category documents.
3. Qualification Marks: Qualification carries 20% of aggregate percentage.
4. Relevant Experience: Experience carries up to 30 marks, with different initial experience rules for each post.
5. Personal Interview: Interview carries 50 marks.
