DSCI Senior Resident Recruitment 2026: Overview

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Tenure: Your initial appointment lasts 44 days. A further 44-day term, with a one-day break, needs your written request, the department head's recommendation, an available post and satisfactory work and conduct.
• Residency limit: The normal maximum is three years, including earlier Senior Resident service in government hospitals or government-funded autonomous bodies. The notice permits consideration of doctors who have completed that tenure if applicants with less prior residency are unavailable.
• Regular replacement: The ad hoc appointment creates no claim to the post. It may end without notice when a regular appointee joins.
• Posting liability: DSCI may place you in any setup it manages, inside or outside Delhi. The East campus walk-in venue does not restrict your eventual posting to that campus.
• Private practice: You cannot undertake private practice or simultaneously work as a Senior Resident at another hospital. A breach can lead to termination and further proceedings.
• Resignation: Give seven days' advance notice or pay seven days' salary instead. The notice also applies advance intimation when you do not want a further extension.
• Leave: You receive three and a half days of paid leave for 44 days of service. Unauthorised absence exceeding seven days can end the appointment.
• Reservation: Reserved-category consideration depends on certificates recognised by the Government of NCT of Delhi. Appointment remains subject to checking those claims.
• Training: Complete the institute's biomedical waste management and Basic Life Support training within one month of joining. Clinical Oncology and Radiotherapy appointees must also contact the radiation safety officer within a fortnight for professional registration arrangements.
• Waiting panel: DSCI may keep suitable applicants on a panel for future needs. That panel lasts 44 days or until a fresh selection process, whichever comes first.
• Travel: DSCI does not pay travel or daily allowances for attending the interview or joining. You will need to meet those costs yourself.

Report to the Director's Office, DSCI East, Dilshad Garden, Delhi 110095, during the stated walk-in reporting window of 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM. The notice includes a prescribed application form for this recruitment.
