The Government Arts, Commerce and Science College, Diu — commonly known as Diu College — operates under the Directorate of Higher & Technical Education of the UT Administration of Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu. The college is affiliated with Saurashtra University, Rajkot and offers undergraduate programs in Arts, Commerce, and Science. This recruitment is for 1 Assistant Professor post in Commerce on a consolidated salary contract.

Who Can Apply?

Educational Qualification

• Master's degree in a relevant subject (Commerce) from an Indian university or equivalent accredited foreign university, with at least 55% marks (or equivalent grade in a point scale system)
• Must have cleared NET conducted by UGC/CSIR, or a similar test accredited by UGC like SLET/SET
• Candidates with a Ph.D. degree (as per UGC minimum standards) are exempt from the NET/SET requirement
• Candidates with a Ph.D. awarded before July 2009 are exempt from the NET/CSIR/SET/SLET requirement
• NET/CSIR is not required for disciplines where NET/CSIR is not conducted

Relaxation in Marks

• 5% relaxation at graduate and master's level for SC/ST/Differently Abled (physically and visually) candidates
• 5% relaxation for Ph.D. holders who obtained their Master's degree before 19 September 1991
• Relaxation applies only on qualifying marks, without including any grace mark procedures

Desirable Qualifications

• CCC certificate from a recognized body/institute/university
• Ability to teach in English and Gujarati

• Consolidated monthly salary: Rs. 50,000/- (fixed)
• This is a contract position — no pay scale or grade pay applies
