Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage all block-level activities under the National Rural Livelihoods Mission (NRLM/CGSRLM) to promote sustainable livelihoods for rural communities.
  • Facilitate the formation, training, and capacity-building of Self-Help Groups (SHGs), Village Organizations (VOs), and Cluster Level Federations (CLFs) in assigned blocks.
  • Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual progress reports on mission targets, fund utilization, and outcomes to the District Mission Management Unit.
  • Monitor implementation of livelihood promotion schemes, skill development programs, and poverty alleviation activities at the grassroots level.
  • Assist in mobilizing rural households, especially women from disadvantaged communities, for participation in self-employment and income-generating activities.
  • Work with district-level departments, banks, and NGOs to ensure convergence of government schemes and financial linkages for SHG members.
  • Maintain accurate records and MIS data of all beneficiaries, SHGs, and program activities in the block.
