Common Conditions

• Domicile: You must be a resident of Chhattisgarh and need to submit the domicile certificate issued by the competent authority.
• English medium: For most posts, your education from Class 6 up to the required qualification should be in English medium. For Hindi and Sanskrit Lecturer posts, English medium study is not compulsory for Class 10 and higher classes.

Teaching Posts

• Lecturer: Postgraduate degree in the concerned subject with at least second division and B.Ed. qualification. Subject rules apply for Hindi, Sanskrit and Math.
• Principal Secondary School: Postgraduate degree with at least second division, B.Ed., English medium education, and required TET condition as stated in the notification.
• Principal Primary Section / Teacher: Graduation with required marks, B.Ed. or D.El.Ed., subject combination where needed, and TET qualification.
• Assistant Teacher: Higher Secondary and teacher training qualification such as D.Ed., D.El.Ed. or B.Ed., plus primary level TET.

Non-Teaching and Support Posts

• Lab Assistant: Higher Secondary with Biology or Mathematics subject group, with English medium education condition.
• Library Assistant: Graduation with second division and B.Lib.; English medium will be preferred.
• Physical Education Teacher: Higher Secondary with D.P.Ed. or graduation with B.P.Ed., with English medium education condition.

Age Limit

• You must be at least 21 years old and not above 35 years as on 1 January 2025.
• SC, ST and OBC non-creamy layer: Upper age relaxation up to 5 years is available as per rules.
• Women candidates: Upper age relaxation up to 10 years is available under Chhattisgarh rules.
• Chhattisgarh domicile: Residents of Chhattisgarh can get an additional relaxation, with overall maximum age up to 40 years as stated in the notification.
• Persons with disabilities: Relaxation will be as per General Administration Department instructions.

Salary

• Lecturer and Principal Secondary School: Rs. 38,100 per month.
• Principal Primary Section, Teacher and Physical Education Teacher: Rs. 35,400 per month.
• Assistant Teacher and Lab Assistant: Rs. 25,300 per month.
• Library Assistant: Rs. 22,400 per month.
• Important: This is consolidated contract pay, not a regular government pay scale.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

DEO Raigarh will prepare the merit list from educational marks. The notification clearly says there is no written exam and no oral interview.

1. Online Application Scrutiny: The office checks whether the correct post-wise Google Form has been submitted before the deadline.
2. Educational Merit: Marks are calculated from the required classes/degrees. For example, Assistant Teacher and Lab Assistant posts use Class 10 and Class 12 marks, while Lecturer posts use Class 12, graduation and postgraduation marks.
3. Document Verification: Shortlisted applicants must bring original certificates, application proof and supporting documents.
4. Final Merit List: Selection is made on merit after checking the documents and reservation category.
