The District Child Protection Unit, Thanjavur, under the Department of Child Welfare and Special Services (Social Defence), has invited applications for Supervisor and Case Worker posts at the Child Help Desk (1098). These desks help children in distress at the Thanjavur Railway Station and Pattukkottai Bus Station. All posts are purely temporary on a one-year contract. Who Can Apply?

Supervisor (Rs. 21,000/month)

• You need a Bachelor's degree in Social Work (BSW), Computer Science, Information Technology, Sociology, or Social Science from a recognised university.
• You must have good computer skills.

Case Worker (Rs. 18,000/month)

• You must have passed 12th class (HSC).
• You should have data and communication skills, including computer work.

Preference is given to candidates who have worked at child help centres before.

Age Limit

• Maximum age: 42 years (as on 1 July 2026).
• Age Relaxation: Candidates who have already worked at child help centres can apply up to 52 years.

Salary

• Supervisor: Rs. 21,000 per month (consolidated)
• Case Worker: Rs. 18,000 per month (consolidated)
