CSIR-National Institute of Oceanography (CSIR-NIO) has released a temporary vacancy notification (Vacancy Number SSP003765/3193-26) for the post of Project Associate-I. Responsibilities

  • Take part in field work and collect sediment and water samples from coastal areas and rivers
  • Process sediment samples and prepare them for laboratory analysis
  • Handle data collection, retrieval, processing, and analysis from met-ocean instruments
  • Run numerical models using Python and other scientific tools
  • Prepare technical reports and project documents for the project leader
  • Participate in cruises on ships and boats whenever required
  • Assist senior scientists with any other duties linked to the project
