CSIR-CFTRI Part-time Doctor Recruitment 2026: Overview

Council of Scientific and Industrial Research - Central Food Technological Research Institute (CSIR-CFTRI) is engaging a Part-time Doctor in the allopathic system for its Health Centre and Dispensary in Mysuru. The doctor will provide OPD support to serving employees, pensioners, family pensioners and their dependent family members.

The engagement is designed around the institute's working-day dispensary needs, with a morning or evening shift chosen according to operational requirements. It is a temporary contractual arrangement rather than a route into a regular CSIR post, but it gives an experienced medical professional a defined clinical assignment within a national research laboratory.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Tenure: The initial engagement is for 6 months and may be extended when service is satisfactory, or may end earlier under further orders.
• Duty schedule: The doctor will work for 3 hours per day on working days. Sundays and gazetted holidays are excluded, and the institute will decide whether the duty is in the morning or evening.
• Clinical confidentiality: Patient information, records and documents must remain confidential. The complete record set has to be handed back to the office when the contract ends.
• Conflict of interest: You cannot represent or advise another person or party in a matter that works against the institute's interests.
• Notice period: Either side may end the engagement with 30 days' notice, subject to the discretion described in the advertisement.
• Temporary status: The appointment creates no claim to regularisation or absorption in a CSIR or CSIR-CFTRI post.
• Personal arrangements: CSIR-CFTRI will not provide accommodation, and no TA or DA is payable for attending the interview or joining.
• Administrative control: Your service will remain under the Director, CSIR-CFTRI, and current CSIR engagement guidelines will apply.
• Professional conduct: Canvassing or using outside influence will disqualify a candidate. The institute may also cancel the engagement if it finds a discrepancy in the candidature.

Application Submission Notes

This is a walk-in engagement, so you should report to the Business Unit, CSIR-CFTRI, Mysuru 570020 at 02:00 PM. The interview follows at the time stated in the notification, after your records have been checked.

Bring the filled prescribed application form, self-attested copies and all originals; the institute will not allow participation without original certificates. Two recent passport-size colour photographs are also required, and retired government doctors should carry the relevant pension record mentioned in the form.
