CFTRI Project Associate II Bioresource Recruitment 2026: Overview
CSIR-Central Food Technological Research Institute (CSIR-CFTRI), a laboratory of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research, is recruiting a Project Associate-II for its Bioresource Conservation and Prospection project in Mysuru, Karnataka. The project reference is MMP025302, with post code MMP025302-01. You would join a temporary project engagement connected with food formulation and nutritional and metabolite analysis.
Service Conditions and Caveats
- Initial tenure: The stated engagement runs up to March 2027. It may continue up to March 2028 if needed, but only within the project's duration. An extension is conditional, so you should not treat it as guaranteed.
- Project-linked service: Your engagement ends with the project or when the applicable overall service limit is reached, whichever happens first. The position is offered on behalf of the sponsoring agency.
- Overall tenure limit: Project appointments across CSIR laboratories and institutes count towards a combined limit of 6 years. This covers service across different projects, including projects supported through the funding arrangements named in the notice.
- Funding condition: The appointment depends on the availability of project funds. The institute will check the funding position before announcing the result and issuing an engagement letter.
- Continuation: Funds, your conduct and performance, the institute's needs and the Review Committee's recommendations affect continuation. The engagement may be shortened and cannot continue beyond the project's term.
- Performance reviews: Your work will be assessed periodically. Unsatisfactory performance may lead to termination, and the institute also retains the right to end the engagement without giving a reason.
- Employment status: This project appointment creates no claim to a permanent post or regularisation in CSIR-CFTRI or another CSIR laboratory. It also gives no automatic right to register for a higher degree.
- Existing project staff: If you already work on a CSIR project and are selected, joining this project depends on completing your release from the previous engagement. The notice specifically requires resignation from that project before the new engagement.
- Travel: You must meet your own interview travel costs. The institute will not pay travelling or daily allowance for attending.
- Accuracy of your information: The institute can reject your candidature or withdraw an offer if it finds discrepancies or misleading information, including after selection. Responsibility for the accuracy of the application rests with you.
- Recruitment changes: The Director may change the notice's terms, cancel the advertisement or leave the post unfilled. The advertised requirement may also change at the time of selection.
- Conduct: Trying to influence the recruitment through political or other outside pressure leads to disqualification. The applicable CSIR and funding-agency project-staff rules govern the remaining service terms.
