CCS HAU Young Professional II Recruitment 2026: Overview

Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University (CCS HAU) is recruiting a Young Professional-II for its Pulses Section in the Department of Genetics and Plant Breeding at Hisar. This is a contractual project engagement under scheme 5397-C(b) PB-184-ICAR, with Dr. Pawan Kumar named as the Principal Investigator. You will work within the university's pulses research setting under the project's administrative control, rather than join its regular staff.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Initial tenure: The appointment runs up to 31 March 2027, with an extension described as likely. The notice gives a maximum engagement period of three years or the duration of the post, whichever ends earlier; an extension is not an unconditional promise.
• Performance and conduct: The university can end the appointment if your work or conduct is unsatisfactory, after giving you an opportunity to respond. The contract is therefore subject to more than the stated end of tenure.
• Funding: The engagement may also end if the funding agency does not release funds. This condition can apply before the planned contract period finishes.
• Leaving the post: If you choose to leave, you must give one month's notice or pay the university an amount equal to one month's salary instead.
• End of project: Your engagement ends when the project or appointment term finishes. The university does not promise to place you in another position afterwards.
• Employment status: You will not become a regular university employee. The contract does not bring the provident-fund or other benefits available to regular employees.
• Joining: You must report within 15 days of the appointment order. If you do not, the university can cancel the appointment and offer it to another selected applicant.
• Service agreement: You must sign an agreement on non-judicial stamp paper before joining. This is a condition of taking up the engagement.
• Full-time commitment: You cannot take other work or hold another appointment, paid or unpaid, while engaged in this project. Leave follows the university's applicable guidelines.
• Travel for interview: The university will not reimburse travel or daily expenses for attending the interview.
• University rules: The university may change the engagement rules with the Vice-Chancellor's approval.
