It has released Advertisement No. 03/2026 dated 8 May 2026 for filling up 35 teaching and non-teaching posts across various colleges and the headquarters. Who Can Apply?

For Dean / Director of Research

• Qualification: Doctorate degree in the relevant subject/branch of Agricultural Science
• Experience: 15 years of teaching/research, with at least 5 years as Professor or equivalent
• Publications: Outstanding research contribution with published papers

For Registrar

• Qualification: Master's Degree with at least 55% marks (Grade B in UGC 7-point scale)
• Experience: 15 years as Assistant Professor (Level 11) and above OR 8 years in Level 12 including 3 years in educational administration, OR 15 years of administrative experience with 8 years as Deputy Registrar or equivalent

For Professor

• Qualification: Doctoral degree in the relevant subject
• Experience: 10 years as Scientist/Lecturer in PB-3 with 2 years as Associate Professor in PB-4
• Publications: Minimum 10 publications with high NAAS Impact Factor

For Associate Professor

• Qualification: Doctoral degree in the relevant subject
• Experience: 8 years as Scientist/Lecturer in PB-3 (Rs. 15,600-39,100) with Grade Pay of Rs. 5,400/6,000/7,000/8,000

For Assistant Professor (Livestock Production Management)

• Qualification: Master's degree in relevant subject with at least 55% marks + NET (ICAR/ASRB/UGC/CSIR) OR Ph.D in relevant subject with published research papers

For Senior Computer Operator/Programmer

• Qualification: Master's in Computer Applications / M.Sc (Computer Science/IT) OR B.E./B.Tech in Computer Engineering/ECE
• Experience: 3 years post-qualification experience in Programming/University Information System in Government/PSU/Autonomous Body

Age Limit

• Dean / Director of Research: Preferably below 60 years
• Registrar: Preferably less than 57 years
• Senior Computer Operator/Programmer: 35 years (as on last date of application)
• Assistant Professor: Maximum 40 years (as on last date)
• Associate Professor: Preferably below 50 years
• Professor: Preferably below 55 years
• Age Relaxation: 3 years for OBC, 5 years for SC/ST, 10 years for PwBD as per Government of India norms
• Contract employees of CAU Imphal get up to 5 years one-time age relaxation
• Superannuation age is 65 years for faculty and 60 years for non-teaching posts

Salary

• Dean / Director of Research / Registrar / Professor: Academic Level 14 — Rs. 1,44,200 per month (entry pay)
• Associate Professor: Academic Level 13A — Rs. 1,31,400 per month (entry pay)
• Assistant Professor: Academic Level 10 — Rs. 57,700 per month (entry pay)
• Senior Computer Operator/Programmer: Level 10 — Rs. 56,100 per month (entry pay)
• Plus DA, HRA, TA and other allowances as per Central Government rules

Selection Process

Selection is based on academic merit and personal interview:

4. Final Selection: Based on overall performance in interview and document check
