The Centre for Artificial Intelligence and Robotics (CAIR), DRDO is a premier defence laboratory in Bengaluru. It works on Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, Command and Control, and Information & Communication Security for battlefield communication and information management systems. CAIR has opened 50 paid internship slots for bright B.E./B.Tech final-year students across two areas. This is a temporary internship — no absorption rights in DRDO, but it gives you research exposure in mission-critical defence technology.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification (CSE branch): You must be in the final year of B.E./B.Tech in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Information Science, AI-ML, or equivalent subjects with First Division.
• Qualification (ECE branch): You must be in the final year of B.E./B.Tech in Electronics & Communication or equivalent subjects with First Division.
• Ongoing Study: Internship is meant for students currently pursuing their final year — apply through your institute.
• Letter of Recommendation: Your college head / Principal must issue an LOR allowing you to do the 6-month internship and clearly state the duration (01 July to 31 December 2026).

Age Limit

Salary (Stipend)

• Monthly stipend: Rs. 5,000 per month (fixed)
• Total stipend: Rs. 30,000 for the 6-month internship

• Boarding, lodging, transport, and medical expenses are not covered — you bear them yourself.

Selection Process

Selection is based on a weighted academic score followed by an interview if needed.

1. 10th marks (Physics & Maths): 10% weightage
2. 12th marks (Physics & Maths) / Diploma Final Semester: 15% weightage
3. B.E./B.Tech completed semester percentages: 75% weightage
4. Interview: Conducted only if necessary for shortlisted candidates (online or by email invite).

Note: Selected candidates must produce all original documents and Police Verification Certificate at the time of joining.
