Berhampur University (BU) is engaging a Project Assistant in its postgraduate Economics department at Bhanjabihar, Odisha. The assignment supports research into migration and changes in agricultural households in western Odisha, with an extramural grant under the Odisha State Higher Education Council (OSHEC) MRIP 2024 programme. You would join a project-based research assignment led by Principal Investigator Dr. Diptimayee Mishra.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Assignment length: Your engagement lasts five months. The notice separately gives the overall project a two-year tenure, so you should not read the project duration as the length of your appointment.
• Project-linked engagement: The appointment ends with the project and can also be ended without notice. This condition applies even though the notice states an assignment period.
• University employment: This temporary research engagement gives you no right to claim another post at the university, either directly or indirectly.
• Travel costs: The university will not pay travelling or daily allowances for attending the interview. You need to arrange your own visit to the department.
