Who Can Apply?

Primary Eligibility (Retired Bank Officers)

  • You must have retired on superannuation from a bank's service as an officer in Scale I and above
  • You need a Graduate or Post Graduate degree from a UGC-recognized university
  • You should have a background in rural credit and branch exposure
  • Your integrity should not have been doubtful during your bank service
  • You should be a resident of the local area where the FLC is located (Wardha or Chandrapur)
  • You must be well conversant in the local language (reading, writing, speaking, and understanding)
  • You need a satisfactory service certificate from your previous employer
  • You should have aptitude for training and rural development activities

Alternative Eligibility (Ex-Servicemen)

  • Retired military or ex-servicemen may apply if no applications are received from retired bank officers
  • Applications from retired officers of banks not regulated by the bank's authority will not be accepted

Age Limit

  • Maximum age: 64 years as on 15 April 2026
  • You must be in sound health

Salary

  • Monthly remuneration: Rs. 26,000/-
  • Telephone expense: Rs. 500/- per month
  • Conveyance expense: Rs. 3,500/- per month (you need to conduct at least 8 outdoor camps per month to get this)

Responsibilities

  • Guide the public on all issues related to financial institutions and banking services
  • Conduct at least 8 outdoor financial literacy camps per month in rural and semi-urban areas
  • Assist people in understanding financial products, schemes, and services available from banks and other institutions
  • Prepare reports and maintain records of all counselling sessions and camp activities
  • Work 6 days per week (except 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month)
  • Follow all rules and guidelines set by Bank of India for financial literacy activities
  • Handle queries from the public in the local language (Marathi) with clear communication
