Broadcast Engineering Consultants India Limited (BECIL), a Mini Ratna company under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, has released Revised Vacancy Advertisement No. 554 to fill 1 Senior Technical Assistant post. The selected candidate will be deployed for project work with the Coastal Aquaculture Authority in Chennai, on a contract basis for one year or till the completion of the project, whichever comes first. Postgraduate candidates in aquaculture, zoology, fisheries or marine biology should apply — this role involves fieldwork, water/soil sample analysis and coordination with fish farmers. Candidates who already applied against the earlier Vacancy Advertisement No. 551 (dated 20 May 2026) and its corrigendum need not apply again.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: Master's Degree in Aquaculture, Zoology, Fisheries or Marine Biology from a recognized university (or equivalent).

Age Limit

• You should not be older than 32 years as per the advertisement.

Salary

• Selected candidates will get a consolidated salary of Rs. 56,640 per month (Rs. 35,400 basic + 60% Dearness Allowance).
• The DA percentage will be revised in line with Central Government rates at the time of appointment.

Selection Process

The selection will be done in these stages:

1. Shortlisting: Applications are screened based on eligibility criteria and receipt of the Demand Draft. A merit list is prepared in a ratio of 1:20.
2. Interview/Assessment/Skill Test: Shortlisted candidates are informed by email and called for an interview, assessment, or skill test (if applicable).
3. Document Verification: You must bring original certificates for verification at the time of the interview.
