BECIL Senior Technical Assistant Recruitment 2026 - 1 Post

Broadcast Engineering Consultants India Limited (BECIL), a Government of India enterprise under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, has released Vacancy Advertisement No. 551 for a contract manpower requirement. The selected person will work for the Coastal Aquaculture Authority, Chennai for one year or until the project requirement ends, whichever is earlier. This is a specialised aquaculture technical role, so it is best suited for candidates with fisheries, aquaculture, marine biology or allied life-science background.

Who Can Apply?

Essential Qualification

• Qualification: You must have a Master's Degree in Aquaculture, Zoology, Fisheries or Marine Biology from a recognised university, or an equivalent qualification.

Preferred Qualification and Skills

• Experience: A minimum of 5 years of aquaculture field experience after the essential qualification is desirable.
• Higher qualification: Ph.D. in Fisheries Science, Aquaculture, Marine Biology, Biotechnology, Environmental Science, Life Science or an equivalent life-science area is desirable.
• Computer skills: You should be comfortable with MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint, including document formatting, spreadsheets, reports and data entries.
• Communication: Good English communication, noting and drafting skills are desirable for official reporting.

Age Limit

• Maximum age: 32 years.
• The age will be checked as on the closing date of application.

Salary

• The post carries a consolidated monthly fee of about Rs. 55,932.
• The amount is based on Rs. 35,400 plus 58% DA.
• The final DA percentage on par with Central Government rates at the time of appointment will be considered.

Selection Process

The selection process has shortlisting, client-side assessment and final interview/selection.

1. Application Scrutiny: BECIL will check whether the application meets the required qualification, experience and fee conditions.
2. Shortlisting: Candidates may be shortlisted in a 1:25 ratio for the Senior Technical Assistant post.
3. Interview / Assessment / Skill Test: Shortlisted candidates will be informed by email for the next stage, if required by the client.
4. Document Verification: Original and self-attested documents must be produced during the selection stage.
5. Final Selection: The client will conduct the final selection and BECIL will publish only the final result on its official website.

Selection note: Having the required qualification does not guarantee shortlisting. BECIL and the client may give preference to higher marks, stronger relevant experience or higher qualification as mentioned in the notification.
