Assam Skill University Site Engineer (Civil) Recruitment 2026 - 1 Post

Assam Skill University Project (ASUP), under the Government of Assam, has released a revised Terms of Reference (ToR) inviting applications for 1 Site Engineer (Civil). The role supports infrastructure development works including construction of multi-storeyed buildings and interior furnishing of office buildings and public facilities. Selection is through walk-in interview only — no written exam. Experienced civil engineers with Government or PSU project background in Assam are preferred.

Who Can Apply?

Educational Qualification

• Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognised institution

Experience Required

• Diploma holders: Minimum 10 years of relevant experience
• Degree holders: Minimum 7 years of relevant experience
• Experience must be in civil construction of multistorey buildings with pile foundation, road works, water supply & sewerage systems and interior works
• Experience in Government / PSU projects in Assam is desirable

Required Skills

• Working knowledge of AutoCAD
• MS Word, MS Excel, and PowerPoint
• Project documentation skills

Salary

• Consolidated salary range: Rs. 45,000 to Rs. 65,000 per month
• The exact salary will be agreed based on qualifications, experience, competencies, and recent remuneration of the candidate.
• In exceptional cases, if your last drawn salary is higher than the maximum, the CEO-ASUP may fix the salary with a hike based on the last drawn salary.
• If your last drawn salary is less than the minimum, a maximum hike of 30% on the last drawn salary will be considered.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

Selection is purely through walk-in interview:

1. Document Verification: All candidates must report by 9:45 AM for document verification. No entry after the stipulated time.
2. Walk-in Interview / Test: Conducted from 11:00 AM onwards on 22 May 2026 by the Selection Committee.

ASUP reserves the right to modify the qualification or experience requirements depending on the number of applicants.

• Supervise day-to-day construction and interior works at the project site
• Ensure execution as per approved drawings, technical specifications, and BOQ
• Monitor contractor performance, timelines, and adherence to BIS / CPWD / PWD standards
• Conduct regular inspections of materials and workmanship; maintain quality control registers
• Record measurements in Measurement Books (MB) and verify contractor Running Account (RA) and final bills
• Prepare estimates using prevailing Schedule of Rates (SoR) / DSR
• Prepare Daily Progress Reports (DPR), Monthly Progress Reports (MPR), and meeting minutes
• Ensure compliance with contract conditions, safety norms, labour laws, and statutory requirements
