APPSC Endowments Commissioners Recruitment 2026: Overview
Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) is recruiting regular Deputy Commissioner and Assistant Commissioner of Endowments staff for the A.P. Charitable and Hindu Religious Institutions and Endowments Service. Both designations are covered by the same brief general-recruitment notice. The notice links these appointments to the service rules governing religious institutions and endowments in Andhra Pradesh.
Posts and Disciplines
- Deputy Commissioner of Endowments: this designation belongs to the A.P. Charitable and Hindu Religious Institutions and Endowments Service. It has its own entry in the notice and should be treated separately when you assess the post-specific requirements.
- Assistant Commissioner of Endowments: this is a separate designation in the same service. The shared advertisement does not make the conditions for the Deputy Commissioner and Assistant Commissioner posts interchangeable.
Service Conditions and Caveats
- Continuing religious condition: the special service rules make professing Hindu religion a condition of holding either post. If you cease to profess Hindu religion, you cease to hold the post. This is a continuing service condition rather than a declaration relevant only when you apply.
- Provisional openings: the department has yet to confirm the final position. APPSC says the advertised openings can change after the department provides confirmation.
- Detailed notice: fuller recruitment instructions and community-wise information will follow in the detailed notification. Read that document together with this brief notice before choosing the post for which you apply.
- Scope of this document: the brief notice identifies the service and its designations and attaches the examination syllabus. It does not describe a daily duty allocation or publish probation and service-bond terms, so you should not assume those conditions from the designation alone.
