AIIMS Bathinda has released a notification for 2 project posts under the project “Strengthening of Palliative Care Services in Bathinda,” run by the Department of Anaesthesiology with support from the Cipla Foundation. Both positions are purely temporary and project-based, with the current tenure running till 31 March 2027 (extendable with the project). No fixed written exam is required — selection happens through interview or written test (or both) at a single walk-in event on the AIIMS Bathinda campus. This is a good opportunity for MBBS doctors and psychology postgraduates who want hands-on experience in palliative and supportive care, working under a multidisciplinary team drawn from the Departments of Anaesthesiology, Radiation Oncology, and Medical Oncology & Hematology, with additional mentoring support from AIIMS Rishikesh.

The project focuses on strengthening home-based and hospital-based palliative care services for patients in and around Bathinda, so both roles involve direct patient contact, family counselling, and coordination with the wider clinical team — not just desk-based work.

Who Can Apply?

For Palliative Care Doctor (Rs. 1,00,000/month):

• Qualification: MBBS with valid State Medical Council registration
• Experience: Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a healthcare setup
• Desirable: experience working in palliative care, good written and verbal English, proficiency in Hindi and local languages, and willingness to travel to visit patients at their homes.

For Psychologist (Rs. 40,000/month):

• Qualification: M.A./M.Sc./M.Phil/Ph.D. in Psychology from a recognized university
• Experience: At least 6 months of experience in psychological counselling, research, or training in a healthcare setup
• Desirable: experience in psychological counselling/research/training in a Palliative Care or Oncology setting, ability to work in a multidisciplinary team, proficiency in English (written and verbal), and good proficiency in Hindi and Punjabi.

Age Limit

• Age limit is as per government rules. Your age, education, and experience will be counted till 6 August 2026, the last date of the advertisement.

Salary

• Palliative Care Doctor: Rs. 1,00,000 per month (consolidated)
• Psychologist: Rs. 40,000 per month (consolidated)
• These are project-based consolidated salaries — no TA/DA or other allowances are paid, and the amount depends on your experience, qualification, and skill set.
• If the project is stalled or postponed for any reason, your salary may be delayed or stopped for that period.
