Visva-Bharati Radiologist Recruitment 2026: Overview
Visva-Bharati, the central university at Santiniketan, wants a Radiologist for its Pearson Memorial Hospital, the campus hospital that looks after students, staff and the local community in Birbhum district, West Bengal. This is a part-time contract post. You work a fixed three-hour session a day, six days a week, so it can fit alongside your own practice.
Any Indian citizen can apply, but the university gives preference to candidates living in West Bengal. Since you need permanent registration with the West Bengal Medical Council, the post suits radiologists already practising in the state.
Service Conditions and Caveats
- Contract length: The first contract runs for six months from your joining date, or until a regular radiologist joins, whichever comes first. It may be extended if the authority is happy with your work and the post is still not filled permanently.
- Notice period: Either side can end the contract with at least 15 days' notice.
- Consolidated pay only: You get no DA, HRA, TA, LTC or leave encashment.
- No service benefits: The contract carries no Provident Fund, pension, gratuity, medical attendance, seniority or promotion benefits that regular employees get.
- No claim to a regular post: The engagement gives you no right to a permanent job at Visva-Bharati.
- Duties: Your work is assigned by the hospital authority.
Application Submission Notes
Fill the application in the Annexure-I format printed in the notice, paste a coloured passport-size photograph, and attach self-attested copies of your Aadhaar, age proof, marks and degree certificates, and your West Bengal Medical Council registration.
Your application must reach the Office of the Chief Medical Officer, Pearson Memorial Hospital, Visva-Bharati, Santiniketan, Birbhum, PIN 731235 before 5:00 pm on the closing day. Only shortlisted candidates are called for the interview, and the call letter comes by email, so write an email ID you check often.
